The West Sebring Volunteer Fire Department held a ground-breaking Sunday, Sept. 11 for a memorial that will
showcase a piece of steel originally from the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City.
The small memorial site will be in front of the fire station so everyone in the community can appreciate the piece of steel and recall the fateful day 15 years ago when the Twin Towers were brought down in an attack by terrorists using commercial jetliners as missiles.

The Sebring Fire Department is located in downtown Sebring near the city-circle on Mango Street.
